The
Cabrillo Festival has a long and prestigious history. In these pages
called “Music Archives,” you’ll find an outline of the hundreds of
works performed during the past five decades. Though we are not
professional archivists ourselves, the Festival has created a database
chronicling its performance history. We are happy to share a portion of that
information here. It is divided into Decades, beginning in 1963. It is
chronological and includes the Performance Date, Composer, Title of
Work, Premiere Status (if applicable), and Conductor (if applicable).
We hope it proves a joyful reminder to some, and an educational tool
for others.
