Frans Lantings’ Life: A Journey Through Time at the 2006 Cabrillo Festival

Excerpts from the World Premiere performance featuring the Cabrillo Festival Orchestra, conducted by Marin Alsop, on July 29, 2006 at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. Concepts and images by Frans Lanting, music by Philip Glass, arranged for orchestra by Michael Riesman, visual design by Alexander Nichols; produced by the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music/Marin Alsop, Music Director. Life: A Journey Through Time went on to receive its East Coast Premiere with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra; its European Premiere in Genoa, Italy, with the Turin Philharmonic; and is scheduled to be performed on June 15, 2008 by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Carolyn Kuan.
