In a magnificent tent in the City Hall gardens across from the Civic Auditorium, kids will experience art in all its forms for two full days of hands-on fun! Talented professional artists share with children their techniques and infectious love of their craft through hands-on workshops in music and art. On Saturday morning, Rhythm Fusion will introduce young participants to percussion instruments from around the globe. Saturday afternoon, the Creativity Tent joins in the 2010 celebration of Mexican Independence as Music Together leads families in an all-Spanish singing circle, and Mariposa's Art hosts two traditional Mexican art workshops. Sunday the hands-on art making continues all day long with workshops in drawing, painting, printmaking and kite building. For our youngest generation it promises hours and hours of fun, and moments of enduring inspiration.
