Gifts are the heart of how the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music operates. More than 70% of the Festival’s cash budget comes from contributions in the form of individual, corporate and foundation gifts, and nearly one third of the essential goods and services needed to produce the Festival are contributed in-kind each year.
Add to that the 78 families who host musicians and guest artists, the 70 businesses that advertise in our program book, the 68 musicians in the orchestra who donate their professional services in support of the Festival’s unique mission and the dozens of community volunteers assisting with our outreach projects and ushering at our concerts.
The true worth of these contributions far exceeds their dollar value in the operating budget. They add to the network of relationships that keep the Festival strong and a vital part of the life of our community.
