OPEN REHEARSALS

sponsored by:

Marin says that Festival goers "treat music as a participatory sport." You truly have the chance to see the music come to life—as the community of Marin, musicians, and composers sculpt their pieces for performance.

Pre-Rehearsal Talks:
Sometimes the smallest details about a piece of music or its composer give you that "lightbulb over the head" feeling, or spark your interest deeply. In 2007 the Festival will again offer free talks by lecturerers who bring their love and knowledge of the music to informal sessions preceding Open Rehearsals at the Civic Auditorium, and their enthusiasm about music will kindle your own.

Thursday, Aug. 2:
6:45pm
Roger Emanuels on "Raise the Roof"
Tuesday, Aug. 7: 6:45pm Phyllis Rosenblum on "Music at the Mission"
Wednesday, Aug. 8: 6:45pm Philip Collins on "Concentric Paths"
