SEASON ANNOUNCEMENT RELEASE:
CABRILLO FESTIVAL will present an extended 44th Anniversary Season, July 29 through August 13, at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium and Mission San Juan Bautista, California. Music Director/Conductor Marin Alsop celebrates her 15th season, with three performance weekends. CABRILLO FESTIVAL OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC, the organization that produced Leonard Bernstein’s Mass (1999) and Philip Glass’ The Photographer (2001) will present the World Premiere multimedia project: LIFE: A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME, with concept and images by Frans Lanting and music by Philip Glass.
Cabrillo Festival Maestra Marin Alsop (named Music Director Designate of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and a MacArthur Fellow in 2005) has created a 2006 Festival season that will surpass all others.
