Volunteer Opportunities
It takes a village and then some to produce the Cabrillo Festival each year. Local residents volunteer their homes to house the Festival Orchestra, Santa Cruz County businesses donate their products and services, and community members generously give of their time to support the Festival’s special events and audience services. If you would like to volunteer for the Festival, these are our current opportunities:
IMMEDIATE NEED - Volunteer Your Santa Cruz Home or Guest House:
- The Festival is in constant need of donated accommodations to comfortably house our esteemed composers, guest artists, and technical staff. Specifically, if you have a guest house, Granny Unit or private suite in your home that you could donate for 4 days to three weeks during the Festival, please call us immediately: 831. 426.6966.
Cabrillo Art Food & Wine Street Festival/Creativity Tent for Kids:
Saturday, August 5th
- Creativity Tent for Kids
11:00am-2:00pm – Assist with the Rhythm Fusion Percussion Workshop (no musical skills needed)
- Frozen Fruit Bar Sales
1:00pm-7:30pm – Various 2-hour shifts available
Sunday, August 6th
- Creativity Tent for Kids
11:00am-2:00pm – Assist with hands-on Art Workshops (no artistic skills needed)
2:30pm-5:30pm – Assist with hands-on Art Workshops (no artistic skills needed)
- Frozen Fruit Bar Sales
1:00pm-7:30pm – Various 2-hour shifts available
Hospitality Events:
- Assist Staff in the preparation and serving of refreshments at various events throughout the Festival
Ushers:
- Assist the House Management Staff in performing Usher duties throughout the Festival
