The 45th annual Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music runs from July 30–August 12, 2007.
CALL FOR SCORES – CABRILLO COMPOSERS WORKSHOP
DEADLINE MARCH 1st, 2007
If you are a composer 30-years-old or younger, you are invited to submit an orchestral score for consideration for the 2007 Cabrillo Composers Workshop, July 27 through August 1. Further details about the program and the submission process go to Conductors/Composers Workshop.
Donations to the Cabrillo Festival are greatly appreciated and vital to our important work. To make your donation online now, please click Donate Online. We would also like to bring to the attention of our donors over the age of 70(1/2), a special provision in 2006 and 2007 for use of distributions from your IRA or ROTH IRAs:
“TAX-FREE distributions to charities: Owners of IRAs who are 70(1/2) or older can give as much as $100,000 from their IRA or ROTH IRA to charitable organizations in 2006 and again in 2007 without recognizing any income on the distribution. The distribution will NOT be included in income and there will be NO itemized deduction for the contribution. The distribution MUST be done as a direct rollover from the IRA trustee to the charity.” Please consult with your financial advisor for details.
