curtis wallin, scenic director

Curtis Wallin’s design work includes Stravinsky’s Pulcinella, directed by Peter Kazaras, with the EOS Orchestra. Six Ten Minute Operas featuring the premiere of Mark Adamo’s Avow, also with EOS. Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti and Carly Simon’s opera Rhomulus Hunt, with the Opera Company of North Carolina. The Turn of the Screw, directed by Peter Kazaras, with the Chautauqua Institute, Having our Say, Hangar Theatre, and Peter Yarrow and Friends, a benefit concert for the New York Botanical Gardens. His paintings have been featured in a mural cycle in the Channel Gardens at Rockefeller Center. He has recently been commissioned by Bette Midler’s foundation, New York Restoration Project, to paint a series of watercolors of The New York City parks currently being restored. Wallin’s upcoming design work will be featured in Norma with director Peter Kazaras for the Seattle Opera.
