peter kazaras, stage director In addition to enjoying a worldwide career as an operatic tenor, Peter Kazaras has recently worked as director, coach and artistic advisor. In the winter of 2003 he will direct Bellinis Norma for Seattle Opera. Other credits include Spoleto USA Brittens Curlew River, Artistic Advisor and singing The Madwoman; Eos Orchestra (concert staging and lighting for Act III of Adams Nixon in China at Alice Tully Hall, singing Mao; staging of Stravinskys Pulcinella; staging concert reading of excerpts from Bernard Herrmanns Wuthering Heights); New York Festival of Song (staging a program of Operetta excerpts); Milwaukee Symphony (Brittens War Requiem, staging, lighting design, Tenor soloist); Chautauqua Institute Music School (staging three casts in Brittens The Turn Of The Screw); and staging the original 1998 workshop of Jonathan Sheffers Blood On The Dining Room Floor (which led to an off-Broadway production). He has also given Master Classes at Yale and Vassar, where he co-directed the Opera Workshop.
