cara johnston, soprano Cara is delighted to be singing Amy in Little Women again. She sang the role last summer with the Ash Lawn-Highland Summer Festival, along with the role of Frasquita in Carmen. Other operatic credits include two seasons as an Apprentice Artist with Des Moines Metro Opera, where she sang the First Nursemaid in Street Scene and covered Rosina in The Barber of Seville, Rosina in The Barber of Seville with Opera Iowa. Valencienne in The Merry Widow with Kansas City Civic Opera Theater, and the Opera Omaha Holiday Fanfare, where she roller-skated her way through The Doll Aria from The Tales of Hoffman. Earlier this summer, Cara covered the role of Eliza in My Fair Lady at Paper Mill Playhouse, where she has also been seen in The Student Prince. Her musical theatre credits include Sleeping Beauty with the Barter Theatre/Radio City Entertainment, Yankee Doodle Dandy with Gateway Playhouse, a European tour of The Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber, and two seasons with Music Theatre of Wichita. Television credits include The Education of Max Bickford.
