Anna Björndotter has designed costumes both in the United States and in her native Sweden. Among her most resent design credits are La Finta Giardiniera for the San Francisco Opera Center and Jenufa for Long Beach Opera. Her work was first seen by Bay Area audiences in the film Pink Octopus. In 2001 her designs for the film Practical Poses For the Practical Artist, was awarded best costume design in the NY Polo Ralph Lauren Film Festival. This summer she returns to the San Francisco Opera Center to design La Boheme. Born in Sweden, Ms. Björndotter moved to the United Stated in 1994 and she is a graduate from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco.
