Artist Biographies: Suzanne St. John

Video Artist

Suzanne St. John has been working in PEG Access Television for the past nine years, both in front of and behind the camera. She has earned five WAVE awards through the Western Alliance for Community Media for her videos, as well as two National Hometown Awards and a Silver Apple from the National Educational Media Network for her live, call-in teen show, The Green Room. St. John was recently awarded Santa Cruz County's Gail Rich Award as an interdisciplinary artist. She has worked as Assistant Director of Community Television of Santa Cruz County for the past three years, and is a freelance producer, editor, director and cameraperson. She is currently producing a feature film titled Sister Nancy, the story of her mother, who was a nun. St. John is also pursuing a singing career with her blues band, Pearl Alley.
