Artist Biographies: Jude Navari

Vocal Ensemble Director

Jude Navari is active in the Bay Area as conductor, composer, arranger, and accompanist. In 1998, he received his Ph.D. in Composition from the University of California at Berkeley, where he also studied conducting with Marika Kuzma and Jung Ho Pak. He has prepared choruses and conducted performances for Berkeley Opera, arranged folk music and coached rehearsals for Westwind International Folk Ensemble's chorus, Westwind Voices, and conducted premieres of new works by U.C. Berkeley graduate student composers for the Berkeley New Music Project. Jude currently serves as Artistic Director for Voci Women's Choral Ensemble and the Sacramento Men's Chorus.
