EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING

PRE-REHEARSAL TALKS
While it is true that you can enjoy the music the Festival offers on a stand-alone basis, it is equally true that a little history and context about the music will only enhance your enjoyment. Two centenary celebrations honoring Aaron Copland and Kurt Weill this season give us wonderful opportunities for fascinating storytelling and historical insight. You can take home nuggets of knowledge that will enrich your entire experience of the Festival.

7:00-7:30pm
August 1:      Phyllis Rosenblum on "The Tender Land"
August 8:      John Dizikes, author of "Opera in America" on Kurt Weill
August 10:     Eugene Kingdon on "Music at the Mission"
